About This Festival
Established in 1964, the Chicago International Film Festival takes place during the last two weeks of October. It features over 150 films from over 50 countries, and those films come in a vast array of formats and genres: short films, documentaries, animated features and dramas. The Festival includes OUT-Look which is an LGBT film program that focuses on sexual identity. The thirteen movies in OUT-Look, which are from twelve countries, compete for the Festival's Q Award.
