About Festivals, Craft Shows and Fairs in Dublin

Charming and affable Dublin is a city renowned for its warm pubs and warmer welcomes, but it also holds a whole lot more for visitors and locals alike. It is historical, cosmopolitan and exciting, with much to attract you and even more reasons to keep you there… and this includes a range of events and festivals throughout the year.

Dublin’s Irish Craft Beer Festival is a boozy affair, with plenty of hops and malts to quench your thirst and weaken your knees. It’s the largest craft beer festival in Ireland and features over 50 brewers, with more than 300 beers. On offer are a great range of small and large brewers, beers and batches, with plenty of interesting options for proper aficionados. You can taste some tipples, meet the brewers, learn about the craft and fill up your belly with frothy, foaming flavours. The festival also offers tempting accompaniments of food and music.

Taste of Dublin gives hungry punters another reason to unloosen their belts, and offers four full days of delectable delights. Some of the region’s hottest chefs and restaurants come together to offer and advertise their produce and products, where you can taste a whole range of interesting and unusual things. Each year, over 35,000 famished fans come along to gobble their way through samples and servings. If you’re a food fan of any description, you’ll find plenty here to keep you salivating!

Longitude is a fantastic music festival in the heart of Dublin, with a wide range of musical mayhem to keep you bopping and boogying. The tunes on offer span many genres, with offerings of pop, rock, hip hop, post rock, folk and more. The event features four stages and dozens of world famous artists: previous names here have included the likes of Kendrick Lamar, The National, Jamie XX, Tyler The Creator, Annie Mac and a load more.

Art and culture fiends have many other options in the city, including Fingal Film Festival, which is dedicated to independent and unusual films, documentaries and shorts, while Dublin Theatre Festival showcases the work of some fantastic new and upcoming stage talents.

Dublin also hosts festivals dedicated to fashion, books, coffee, tea, arts, crafts, German culture and even more music, food, drink and cinema. Come to the home of the four leafed clover and join the party!
