The first of the Festivals in Texas worth noting is The Western Days Festival that takes place in Lewisville. The best of Texas local country music performers will be live on stage throughout the two days. The festival offers great family entertainment including gun fight re-enactments and a spectacular Cattle Drive Parade. Be sure not to miss the annual World Tamale Eating Championship. There are plenty of activities for the children as well which include the Roller Roper attraction and the Boogie Woogie Train.
