There are a host of festivals in Detroit for people of all ages - beginning from the widely attended Auto Show in January and ending with Fox Theatre’s Radio City Spectacular in December.
The starting Detroit event - International North American Auto Show - is a programme that is awaited by auto fanatics all over the world. Various concept cars and next-gen vehicles are displayed at this event. Detroit music festivals and events include Ann Arbor Folk Festival in Janurary, MetroTimes Blowout in March, Music Awards of April, Downtown Hoedown, Motor City Conference and MOVEMENT in May. Other important musical events occur in July - Michigan Elvisfest where Elvis comes back to life once again, and September - the much loved Jazz festival hosted in Hart’s Plaza.
The Detroit Boat Show is one of the major Detroit events. Because the people of Detroit love their outdoor hobbies and activities, various events are hosted all year round to bring them closer to nature such as - Outdoorama, Home & Garden Show, Art in the Park, Detroit Grand Prix, Founders Festival in Farmington Area, Quake on the Lake, and the Art and Apples Festival. The Thanksgiving-Christmas season brings events like Turkey Trot Mash Potato Mile, and Noel Night.
