About This Festival
The mission of LunarBurn is to create an awe-inspiring annual event that unites people through the observation and celebration of celestial events. The alchemy of combining science, art and music creates a sacred community by uniting social tribes. The creation of a magical community space is where manifestation of the divine enters our reality. We are a full-moon community that adheres to the 10 Principles, with a focus on three core values: Community, Cosmos, and Enlightenment!
This LunarBurn is a focus on community and the celebration of life through the freedom of expression. Celebration is the expression of the soul, and there are as many ways to be expressive as there are hearts and minds. In all of those differences, it is the most basic of concepts and ideas that unite us – art, music, freedom, peace, and love are just a few. It is, however, the more mysterious universal notions that cosmically tie us together and give strong gravity for human gatherings. We search for something greater than ourselves, something beyond our consciousness, and often wonder “why are we here,” “what is the meaning of our existence,” and “how are we all connected?” It is this journey through space and these existential questions that we will celebrate together in 2014 as we revel in the cosmic voyage on this ship we call Earth.
