Philadelphia is known as the ecenomic and cultural center of Delaware Valley and as the fifth most populous city in the US. There are many major philosophical societies formed here and has once been a temporary capital of the country. Festivals in Philadelphia are numerous especially because it has a diverse population. It has many national historical sites that each hold events as well as major museums for science that display everything from important archeological finds to modern science. Some of the most known festivals include the Bastille Day, the 2nd Street Festival and the Manayunk Arts Festival.
