About Festivals in Birmingham

Birmingham has a lot to offer both visitors and locals with great music, delicious food, and stunning art year round. The spicy eats start with the Exceptional Foundation Chilli Cook-Off. Then, cool down with local craft beers at the Magic City Brewfest. Birmingham events featuring ethnic food include the famous Greek Food Festival and the St. Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival. Offering something a little different, the popular Gumbo Gala has teams from local businesses competing for boasting rights to the best gumbo.

Birmingham Music Festivals aren’t lacking a bit. The Sloss Music and Arts Festival at historic Sloss Furnace is very popular with both teenagers and adults, and the Schaeffer CityFest has it all – music, food and art. Other art festivals in Birmingham include the Sidewalk Film Festival, the Magic City Art Connection and the Birmingham Art Walk, all held downtown.
