City of Colours Street Art Festival 2024

June, 2024

The Custard Factory, Birmingham, United Kingdom

About This Festival

On the 18th June, Digbeth will again be transformed into one of Europe’s largest outdoor art galleries, with Birmingham’s most exciting cultural event of the year – the City of Colours Street Art Festival.

Dubbed the ‘Notting Hill Carnival’ of the city, the streets will be turned into a sea of colour with live painting from over 120 artists, live music, DJ’s, B boys, beat boxers, live illustration battles, street food, a huge market hall and an affordable art sale.

The festival is a platform for promoting emerging talent alongside established UK and world class artists such as Inkie, Phlegm, Lucy McLauchlan, Ador and Semor, Juice 126, Jimmy C, and Amara Por Dios, the festival has been born out of a passion for urban culture. From large murals, to some more quirky canvases, City of Colours will take place over fifteen different venues across Digbeth.

A celebration of street art, there will be eight music stages, a skate ramp, acrobats, face painting, cinema screenings, workshops in graffiti art, break-dancing battles, capoeira, spoken word, and screen-printing. It’s a fantastic event for all the family to get involved in, and what’s more - it’s free!
Last year’s event saw over 9,000 people in attendance with this multi-cultural event truly reflecting the vibrancy of its people and its places.
