Now in its sixth year at the Jalopy Theatre and School of Music. Celebrate with a weekend full of music, dance and regional Louisiana Jambalaya. Get a taste of Louisiana without leaving New York!
Promising the musical excitement of Cajun and Zydeco bands nonstop dancing to Cajun and Zydeco music.
Community jam sessions happen! And they do so on the sidewalk or backyard patio. and delicious dishes including Louisiana-famous gumbo served at the Jalopy Tavern and our famous Saturday Jambalaya supper.
There’s never a lack of things to do from food, brews, playing in a jam, taking a workshop, dancing or sitting with the artist of this year’s poster and have a drawing made of you or your favorite musician! There’s tavern brunch performances, duos and trios. Tavern has a full bar and menu. In the theatre back-to-back bands keep you dancing. Beginning at 12 noon there’s musical workshops to get your feet wet playing music whether you are advanced or beginner. Then join in the Cajun Community Jam outside on the sidewalk. Bring your instruments, no experience required. Special Jambalaya supper served at 7P on Saturday is a welcomed favorite.
