Buildings scrape the sky and sap it's colour. A girl's porcelain skin cracks with cold. The gentle amber of windows switch to black, the streets hollow, and she is alone. Always on the outside.
Until.... RISSCHT!
A swift strike of a light. A moment of colour. Of something warm.
"Do you see it? Just there for a moment! A hint of something....more. No, wait please! Stay a little longer. Just one more!"
This premiere production by the Open Lid Ensemble is a reimagining of Hans Chistian Andersen's classic tale. Ignited by a live soundtack it calls into question our perceptions of value and the balance of worth in an increasingly divided world.
