About Festivals in Wichita

The festivals in Wichita, KS, are non-stop, and are always popular events. Wichita music festivals include ICT Fest, which is a three day long event focusing on local and Midwest music, the Wichita Jazz Fest, featuring local jazz and blues artists, and the Winter Bluegrass Festival. The Wichita Riverfest offers more national and global acts in their lineup. In addition, Riverfest also hosts a photo contest and a car show.

Aside from music, there some other well notable Wichita events as well. The Great Plains Wood Carving is centered around promoting wood carving as an art by showcasing their local artists and hobbyists. The North End Urban Arts Festival is highlighted by its colorful murals intended to make one ponder. There is also a tasteful Mediterranean food festival with such dishes as Greek spiced chicken, cabbage rolls, baklava, and various baked good relating to the Mediterranean area.
