About This Festival
A Labor Day tradition since 1870, this family event in the Great North Woods features livestock shows, truck and tractor pulls, horse shows, animal pulling contests, a milking parlor, 4-H Dairy Bar, Farmer for a Day program, exhibits, children's activities, live entertainment and Dreamland Amusements midway rides for all ages.
Free grandstand entertainment includes the 7th Annual Fireman's Muster (7 p.m. Sept. 1), 21st Annual Cruise Night (6 p.m. Sept. 2) and Lorrie Morgan & Pam Tillis in concert (7 p.m. Sept. 3).
Kids Korner activities include train rides, a giant sand pile, Toddler Driving School, scavenger hunts, craft projects and ventriloquist shows.
The fairgrounds open at 8 a.m. Rides open at 11:30 a.m. daily and close at 10 p.m. Sept. 1, 11 p.m. Sept. 2-4 and 6 p.m. Sept. 5.
Pay-one-price admission is $15 Sept. 1, 2 and 5 and $16 Sept. 3-4. A season pass is $65. Children under 36 inches tall are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
