About This Festival

The Llangollen Red Dragon Music Festival started in April 2016 at the Llangollen Pavilion. It is the dream of its organiser Pete The Hat who wanted to bring together a music fellowship with good music, good food and good ale.... and cider courtesy of Rosie! . Over the years he has brought a range of music that’s includes Didgeridoo, Folk, Opera, Folk Punk, and his favourites Rock, Blues and Heavy Metal.
He has had established tribute bands, the best of up and coming bands and solo artists. His morning ‘open mike open stage’ sessions have given a stage to some amazing talents and collaborations. He travels the country attending events to find the best acts in all genres. The result is a great weekend with a chilled relaxed atmosphere and great music...and food and beeeer!!
The event changed its date to May in 2017 and has grown to the event is was in May 2018. In October 2018 a further event was held at The Boat House Chirk, The Red Dragon with the Bobble Hat On was an intimate gathering of ‘Dragons’ with some great music and a great venue.
