Let your little critters run wild and free at Spring Mountain 2023

November, 2023

Spring Mountain Lagoon PArk, Logan, Queensland

About This Festival

Sunset is the ideal time to sneak a peek at some of our cute bushland creatures and it will be the ideal time to take your little critters to Greenbank for a close encounter of the four-legged kind.

Wildlife experts Kirstan Roberts and Martin Fingland, of Geckoes Wildlife, will be visiting Peet’s Spring Mountain Acreage Estate, with a collection of their favourite native animals giving everyone a chance to get up close and personal with some of our local species.

Come along and pat a possum, say hi to a crocodile or make friends with a dragon. The free community wildlife encounter kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 17 November 2018.

Along with frogs, geckoes and pythons, there will be plenty of lizards and small reptiles for children to pat. The stars of the show will be a tiny squirrel glider, tawny frogmouth and frill neck dragon which are local to the area.

Pack up your favourite creatures and let them run wild and free for the afternoon. There will be free icecreams, face painting and giant games. Treat yourself to snacks off the barbecue or meet the Nova Casanovas who will be broadcasting live from the event.

The boutique Spring Mountain Acreage Estate is less than 45 minutes’ drive from the centre of Brisbane. The community is a true tree-change haven next door to 2500 hectares of national park, which is home to almost 1000 native plant and animal species.
