About This Festival

A hilarious one act play that takes place at the Susan B Anthony Society for the Sisterhood of Gertrude Stein annual quiche breakfast. It is 1956, and cold-war paranoia is rife – when the nuclear attack sirens go off, it’s every woman for herself – Lord of the Flies style, and we discover that the “widows” of the sisterhood are hiding some explosive secrets.

The newest production by Grey Lantern Production, directed by Lorna Mackie at the gorgeous new Northbridge Venue, Henry Summer, 5 Lesbian Eating a Quiche is a fun, comedy romp that is sure to deliver.

The play is written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood and is an adorable black comedy following the sisters in real time, as their quiche breakfast is interrupted by a nuclear attack and chaos ensues.

The show has a witty, fast paced dialogue with a quirky style. It’s perfect for the FRINGEWORLD audiences, as its intimate, relatable and irreverent style will appeal to all. It is a black comedy, with some strong adult themes, so it is not suitable for those under 18.

5 Lesbians plays at Henry Summer, Northbridge, Wednesday 21 Feb – Saturday 24 February. Tickets are $26.50 Full Price/ $23 Concession – book at FRINGEWORLD.COM.AU
