About This Festival
Now in its fourth year, The Unity of Dance Festival 2014 groups Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Tango, Ballroom, Hip-Hop, and other dance forms into a mélange of movement throughout dozens of workshops. Dance instructors from around the globe share their expertise in passport-stamped dance shoes as they lead more than 30 workshops open to participants of all dance backgrounds.
In the evening, Vegas-style performances take the stage beneath the ballroom’s ceiling-spanning chandelier. Spotlights shine on Latin, Ballroom, and Belly Dancing showcases stocked with world champions, a Live Music Show, Funny Skits, and the occasional Magic Show. This concept keeps the audience engaged and on the edge of their seat through the entire showcase. Throughout the weekend, attendees get plenty of chances to show off the moves they’ve picked up in class or to simply kick back with a DJ-soundtracked pool party in the afternoon and social dancing that carries on until 4-6 a.m.
