About This Festival

NOMINATED: BEST COMEDY SHOW, FRINGE WORLD 2015

After 7 sell-out years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and sold-out seasons at FRINGE WORLD 2015 & 2016, critically acclaimed improvised comedy group Racing Minds are bringing their 50s-style radio play back to Perth. Aaand Now For Something Completely Wireless is suspense, intrigue, villainy ... all the hallmarks of classic adventures with one unique twist: this time the audience is in charge. The radio just went live.

Armed with only your suggestions, the twinkly fingers of a virtuoso musician and a suitcase full of cobbled-together sound effects, the UK’s finest improvisers conjure, from nothing, an hour of suspense, intrigue, horror and humour. Every show will feature a guest foley (sound effects) artist, selected from the best shows at FRINGE WORLD.

Noodle Palace’s Bento Box will be transformed into a radio studio with old-fashioned microphones, sharp suits and greased hair. Featuring off-the-cuff breaking-news broadcasts, shameless plugging of sponsors’ shoddy wares and toe-tapping audience inspired songs, every performance is completely different and unique. Each show is taped and released as a free podcast on iTunes and to over 600,000 SoundCloud followers.
