Bag Raiders at Jack Rabbit Slim’s 2024

June, 2024

Jack Rabbit Slim's, Perth, Western Australia

About This Festival

Last month, the hugely exciting news dropped that Bag Raiders have released Checkmate, their third and final instalment in a series of premium cuts all leading up to the release of their second full-length album this year.

Featuring a triple dose of infectious, radiant electronic pop that dances across the spectrum, news also unfolded that they are taking the full live band on the road for an extensive nationwide tour and beyond.

Perth punters now have the chance to witness a dynamic performance of both new and classic Bag Raiders anthems in full effect on Sunday 5th June at the infamous Jack Rabbit Slim's along with some very special supporting guests.

Joining the lads on the night is Louisahhh, one of the foremost voices in French techno. With her deep, propulsive style, the producer has been able to find a niche within the country's electronic scene. Back in Australia for Splendour in the Grass, we are lucky to get her across to this side of the country for the first time since Sets on the Beach a few years ago, where the LA native delivered a smashing set. If her last Perth performance was anything to go by, this is one not to be missed.

There to set the dance-floor alight is the formidable Dr Packer, the alias of West Australian DJ/Producer Greg Packer. Voted in the #1 spot in the Traxsource Top 20 Nu Disco Artists midway through 2015, Dr Packer rounded out the year at #4 in the Top 100 Disco Artists thanks to the support of Greg Wilson, Hot Toddy, Fingerman, Joey Negro and Norman Jay, who regularly feature his edits in their performances. Set up for remixes and edits of mainly retro music from the likes of 70’s, 80’s, 90’s Soul, Disco, Funk, Hip Hop and Reggae, Dr Packer promises a night your feet won't forget.

Rounding out the lineup for the evening is none other than the YORP DJs. The Power of The Yorp is something lesser known to the common folk of Perth — to experience Full Yorp is to become intertwined with a mix of 122 beats per minute euphoria, pure awesomeness and avocado all wrapped up together in a bun of house music. To live like Yorp is to have your toes to the nose of life’s surfboard at all times never to hold back or leave the party until the sun has well and truly come up. From hosting Sunday arvo summer parties to gaining residencies at Perth’s best beachside bars, you can bet the Yorp DJs will have the crowds moving all the way through the long weekend.

The show is set to bring everythin
