About This Festival

NOMINATED – Best Comedy – FRINGE WORLD 2016

UK sketch and character comic Daniel Nils Roberts, returns to FRINGE WORLD in 2017 with his brand new show – The Causeway. Nominated Best Comedy in 2016 for his solo debut show, Honey, Daniel is also a member of UK improve superstars Racing Minds and is also a cast member of Adventures Of The Improvised Sherlock Holmes.

Daniel brings his unique, intelligent and hilarious sketch comedy to the PHO BARN at NOODLE PALACE at 6.50pm from 14 – 19 February 2017.

The Causeway is a misjudged hour of lecture and iffy reconstruction circling the obscure 10th century Battle of Maldon. It’s a bold gambit as Daniel barrels into his fiercely-anticipated second show with wild-eyed abandon. And a sword. Juggling a medley of high-octane character creations, PowerPoint-in-meltdown and a centuries-straddling tale, The Causeway might just be what makes the Anglo-Saxons cool again.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Daniel is one of the stars of the UK improv scene, and is a member of Austentatious and Racing Minds, two of the country's most successful improvised comedy groups.

Also an actor and character comedian, Daniel’s solo scripted debut hour Honey debuted at Perth FRINGE WORLD Australia in 2016, garnering rave reviews and a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Show’, before transferring to The Pleasance for an acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run.

Daniel will also be appearing in Racing Minds’ Aaaand Now For Something Completely Improvised, Kiddo Kaos! and Aaaand Now For Something Completely Wireless, as well as the returning hit Adventures of the Improvised Sherlock Holmes.

“a gifted performer with a clear talent for left-of-centre comedy, and Honey is an intriguing, charming and at times downright hilarious show” The West Australian

"Wickedly intelligent…consistently hilarious" Three Weeks

"Sheer silliness and brilliance" Broadway Baby
