About This Festival

A sketch comedy about love, death and our new robot overlords.

Ever wondered what the future of technology is going to bring? Good Show is a hilarious sketch comedy set in the year 2027 where robots do all the work, life is perfectly calculated to an algorithm and all humans are watched by President Robobama.

After three successful Festival seasons in Victoria, Good Show is bringing their debut show ROBOTS ROBOTSROBOTS to Western Australia. This sketch supergroup brings together Big HOO-HAA! alumni Sophie Kneebone (Impromptunes, Braveface), Matt Saraceni (Lords of Luxury, Funny or Die's Written it Down), Brianna Williams (Theatresports National Championships, ABC2) and features Luke Ryan (Lords of Luxury, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Chemo).

Boasting more than twenty years of sketch, stand-up, theatre, comic writing and improvised comedy experience between them, Good Show crafts sketch that is immersive, interactive and unlike anything else currently being done on stage. All done in front of a gigantic screen that feeds live video to the performers and tests their ability to think on their feet.

Above all else, though, it’s just rock solid comedy that finds an emotional core in absurdity while delivering up a high-octane mix of punchlines, matesyshitgiving and off-script riffs courtesy of four critically acclaimed performers who know how to bring the funny.

Ultimately, Good Show answers the question – in the face of our ever-more-dependent relationship with technology, what does it mean to be human?
