Offworld Productions is proud to announce that Sundown Sessions closes this summer with the long awaited return of St Germain along with full live band at Freo’s Port Beach on Saturday 12th March 2016.
Brought to life in 2013, Sundown Sessions has since graced WA shores with five successful concert events over three summers, and guests this year will be treated to one of the most sublime music masters yet as the pristine sands and clear blue water of Port Beach offers the ultimate backdrop for international house music royalty, St Germain.
Twenty years after Boulevard, fifteen years after the multi-platinum album Tourist and a world tour spanning several continents, Ludovic Navarre, alias St Germain, made his way back into the studio in 2015 to record his eponymous fourth album which will be showcased on Saturday March 12, as well as the signature classics from Tourist and Boulevard.
An uncontested and respected figure in the world of electronic music for the past two decades, a pioneer of the “French Touch” and a creator of intelligent, sensual and original deep house, St Germain has always stood out.
Expect a colourful, exceptional and unpredictable musical journey, with the participation of African musicians, the show will feature traditional Malian instruments like the kora, the balafon or the n’goni, that mingle with electric guitars, pianos, saxophones and electronic loops, following a secret formula only St Germain could concoct.
Sundown Sessions will offer West Australians the perfect chance to farewell warmer weather with a selection of international live performances in the perfect beachside setting with gourmet food vans and deliciously cold refreshments to compliment the night.
