About This Festival
The information below offers an explanation of the purpose and mission of the festival. The PURPOSE of the festival is to: 1) Present an upbeat, positive, inclusive, event that features the food, culture, music, flags, creative arts and games of the Caribbean and bring Caribbean people and ALL people together in Pittsburgh and the region. The MISSION of the festival is to: 1) Develop FESTIVAL GASTRO CARIBE into an ANNUAL, regional, summer event to connect those of the Caribbean diaspora with one another and with All of Pittsburgh and the region. 2) Introduce and share the "Caribbean Gastronomic Experience" and CULTURE.
