About This Festival
Penn’s Colony is a family-friendly festival, held on tree-lined, easy walking grounds, the event recreates a bustling colonial village complete with battle re-enactments, live Irish, English and Scottish music performances, Historic magic shows and other entertainment reminiscent of the “Publick Tymes” fairs held during the 18th century. More than 185 artisans juried craftsmen and artisans will showcase a variety of handmade in America contemporary and traditional items for the home and garden, seasonal decoratives, gifts and personal accessories. There will also be horse-drawn surrey rides, pony rides, horse-powered carousel, traditional foods, hands-on activities and demonstrations of black-smithing, glass-blowing, needle arts, spinning and weaving. Speakers give different presentations each day on the on the French and Indian era history of region.
