The free festival event will feature the Sankofa African American Museum on Wheels. The exhibit includes more than 500 artifacts which document African American life dating back to the 1800's. This event will also include African dancers; live musical entertainment; over 100 vendors including food vendors featuring fresh seafood, sandwiches, barbecue, fried Oreos, and frozen treats; merchandise including art and clothing vendors; children's games and large inflatables; a climbing wall; choo choo train; pony rides; a stilt walker; and a fashion show. Community health service agencies will provide free health testing, Covid booster shots and information. The Big Red Bus will be on site for blood donations. A pound cake contest will take place at 2:00 p.m.
