Visitors in the months of June till October can enjoy the Delaware Music Festivals for family fun and entertainment. In the month of June, music is celebrated in the capital of Wilmington, honoring jazz trumpeter, Clifford Brown. Sit back and enjoy the free sounds of jazz at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. But jazz is just one form of music celebrated during festivals in Delaware during June. The Firefly Music festival is four days long and entertains with a variety of sounds for music lovers. For those who prefer a laid back family outing, with music, barbeque and a lawn chair atmosphere, the Big Barrel Country Festival located in the Dover International Speedways Woodlands is awaiting a visit.
In July, the music in Wilmington relocates to the banks of the Delaware River. Smooth listening is provided at the Tubman Garret Riverfront Park Jazz Festival. August is the time to head for the Delaware State Fairgrounds for the Delaware Junction Festival with an array of activities and musical talents. With the end of the summer comes the time to enjoy even more Delaware events like the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival with its many musical venues. This event takes place in October and will provide a fine finish to summertime.
