About Houston International Festival
Set in the heart of Houston, Texas, the Houston International Festival is an annual festival that celebrates different cultures from around the world through music, dance, food, and crafts. A continuation of arts festivals that have been held in Houston since 1971, this ten day event, also known as iFest, is an official non-profit festival of the city of Houston. The festival grounds are divided into zones, which each focus on celebrating a specific culture. Art, food, and souvenirs are in plentiful abundance in the festival's numerous markets. Unfortunately, the festival filed for bankruptcy in June, 2014, making the future of the festival uncertain.
