About This Festival

Join us at the 4th Annual Madness on Main Festival, presented by 8th Wonder Brewery. Houston’s favorite Independent Music fest! This year moving to the near northside, White Oak Music Hall and Raven Tower off N. Main, Sunday May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend). 1 Wristband, 3 stages, 20+ bands and much more!
What makes Madness on Main different than other fests? Everyone in the local music community plays an integral part to bring the festival together in true DIY form. Our audience comes with an open mind ready to discover new emerging artists. Madness on Main Fest would not be possible without the hard work of each performer, and the local music/art community (music writers/bloggers, photographers, promoters, record labels & management, print vendors, venues and visual artists. Madness on Main serves as a liaison between artists and media to gain interviews and develop artist portfolios.

We can look forward to a Kid clothing swap curated by Nealette Douglas of Fashion Exchange 3000, live artist interviews by Texas Inked Magazine, festival fashion showcase and “how music influences fashion” panel discussion by http://www.fablatinos.com/Fab Latinos and artist transformation reveals.

Our featured visual artist this year is Alex Roman a.k.a Donkeeboy, is known for his pop culture works-of-art, which consist of various double entendre and visual puns and make for some of the most popular selfie zone murals in the city. His most notable pieces are Wonder Frida, Butt-squiat & Warholio and 8th Wonder Brewston. Donkeeboy plans to unveil the 30’ x 15’ mural commemorating Tex-Mex culture in Houston Music.
This year we will also highlight the Art and Handmade Crafts community with a festival-style market. The market will be held in the parking lot between WOMH and Raven Tower and will feature over 30 booths, food trucks curated by Chelsea Lemmons of Roo-Logic V
