Following the postponement of the 2021 National Ballooning Championships, organisers have confirmed the event will now take place 2 to 7 May 2022 at Northam, Western Australia.
Balloon pilots from across Australia will descend on the town to compete in the National Ballooning Championships and test their skills and secure a spot in the World Championships.
The week-long visual spectacle will commence with the Shire of Northam’s Elevate Festival on 30 April. The family-friendly Festival will include a number of ballooning themed activities, food and beverage options, markets, music, entertainment and up-close hot air balloons. The striking Balloon Glow will see balloon baskets sit together on the ground and fire up to inflate and glow in the night to a musical soundtrack (weather permitting)
The National Ballooning Championships are organised by Northam Ballooning Events and supported by Tourism WA and The Shire of Northam. The National Ballooning Championships offer a fantastic day out in the Avon Valley. Save the dates and experience the magnificent display of colour and skill.
