About Festivals in Chicago

Those living in the Windy City or planning a trip to visit will be happy to hear there are a large number of fun festivals in Chicago to enjoy all year long. Some of the top Chicago music festivals include the Summer Camp Music Festival, the Chicago Gospel Music Festival in Millennium Park, the North by Northwest Highway Music Festival and the king of them all, Lollapalooza.

There are also plenty of art and film themed Chicago events to showcase the vibrant culture of the city. Movie lovers can enjoy the Chicago Film Critics Festival and the Chicago Underground Film Fest. For a worldly event, check out the Skokie Festival of Cultures which features ethnic food, dance, art and music. And just for laughs there is the 26th Annual Comedy Festival, which is oddly named since it has not been around nearly that long. It features comedy movie screenings, stand up performances and panel discussions.

Chicago has a long history of great craft brewing and has the festivals to prove it. Some of the bigger ones include the American Beer Classic, Craft Beer Week and the National Kidney Foundation fundraiser Kegs for Kidneys.
