Hello my name is Bill Burke and I am a resident and business owner, and member of the rotary, in Machias Maine. This summer we are planning a festival for families that will include, kite flying, medieval reenactment, seafood, and several genres of music and entertainment for all ages to satisfy all, including craft artisans and commercial vendors. We want this to be a wonderful cultural experience for all ages with emphasis on family activities.
This will be a summer time event that will spark and feed tourism, impacting the economic welfare of our community as well as to provide exciting family entertainment and education for all ages.
