The Manitoba Maple Syrup Festival is a fun day of family oriented events that keep participants active and learning about this area of Manitoba and the many aspects of maple syrup production. Start the day with a maple flavoured pancake breakfast. Enjoy travelling to a sugar bush by horse & wagon; tasting maple taffy on snow, French Canadian tortiere, bannock on a stick and fresh maple glazed donuts; participate in tree tapping, hoop dancing and learn to hoola hoop. Go for a walk with an interpreter in RMNP; listen to local musicians and story tellers. All this at the base of the gorgeous Manitoba Escarpment and Riding Mountain National Park.
