Graeme of Thrones at Fringe World 2024

January, 2024

Circus Theatre, Perth Cultural Centre, Perth, Western Australia

About This Festival

The wacky, wicked and wonderful Game of Thrones parody Graeme of Thrones is heading back to Perth in 2017 to continue its first world tour, with twelve hilarious shows from January 27th – February 11th at Fringe World.

With nightly shows at 6.30pm at the Circus Theatre in the Perth Cultural Centre and two shows at Funtavia in Geraldton, Graeme of Thrones tells the story of Graeme, unhappy with how his favourite fantasy series was realised for TV, and his efforts to take the international phenomenon Game of Thrones to the stage.

He doesn’t quite have the same budget, or as many cast members, or the performance skill required — but he’s sure George RR Martin would approve, and that’s all that matters.

With fresh material from the recently released sixth season of Game of Thrones, the latest instalment of Graeme of Thrones will guarantee even more terrible props, horrific acting and ill-disguised nervous breakdowns than the last.

Directed by Sam Bailey and created by a team of some of the UK’s top comedy writers including Toby Park, Andrew Doyle, Dan Evans and BAFTA winner Jon Brittain, Graeme of Thrones promises to be a treat for fans and an introduction for the unenlightened as it takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride of beheadings, incest and war.

Catch the hilarious parody fresh from sold out shows in Toronto and Chicago before the inevitable lawsuit — Graeme of Thrones is showing 6.30pm at the Circus Theatre (Perth Cultural Centre) Friday 27th January until Sunday 5th February 2017 and at 9pm at Funtavia (Geraldton) from Friday 10th February until Saturday 11th February.
