About This Festival

Take dad out to the park for a day the whole family will enjoy. On Saturday, June 15 at 12pm, the Neshanock Base Ball Club of Flemington take on the Liberty Base Ball Club in the annual Father's Day Vintage Baseball Game at Liberty Grounds Base Ball Field. See baseball the way it was played using reproduction uniforms, equipment, and rules from the 1800s. The first pitch of this doubleheader will be thrown out by Somerset Patriot mascot Sparkee.

After the game is over head to the Village Lawn and at 4pm listen to Gentleman Jim's “Rock n’ Roll Roots” show - A tribute concert to the early rock and roll singers from 1954 through 1964. This concert is being held in conjunction with the newly opened exhibit, Mid-Century New Jersey: The Garden State in the 1950s, at the Cornelius Low House Museum.

Joe Smoke BBQ will be on site to feed hungry dads and their families throughout the day.

Bring a blanket or chair and have a day out with dad.

Free admission and parking. This event is rain or shine.

East Jersey Old Town Village and the Liberty Grounds Base Ball Field are located inside Johnson Park at 1050 River Road in Piscataway.
