Bluegrass Goes Pink for Cancer Festival 2024

About This Festival

Bluegrass Music Association of Iowa (BMAI) is going “Pink” for Cancer awareness. Bluegrass Bands from Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Alabama, and Tennessee will come together for the 3rd Annual BMAI Bluegrass Goes Pink Festival on April 22 and 23, 2016 at the Red Coach Inn Hotel in Red Oak.
Throughout the weekend you will see performances by The Kenaston’s and Bluegrass Playground from Nebraska, Bama Blue Grace an all Gospel group from Alabama, Bluegrass Express from Illinois, Barefoot Nellie & Company from Tennessee, and the Iowa based fan favorite band the Bluegrass Blondies from Ottumwa. On Saturday BMAI will provide workshops from 11am-Noon with the concert to begin at 1:30pm.

Tickets are now available on the website and will be available at the door as well. The Red Coach Hotel is offering a special bluegrass rate for those attending from out of the area. BMAI hosts several events each year throughout the state and is a 501c (3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting, promoting, educating, and preserving the appreciation and enhancement of traditional bluegrass music in the State of Iowa. Partial proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society in Iowa. Donations are being accepted at the BMAI website.
