About This Festival

Sheffield’s luxury leisure destination Leopold Square is delighted to announce that in celebration of the city's annual Food Festival it will be hosting its very own live kitchen demonstrations on Monday 29th May.

From 11am until 4pm visitors can expect to indulge in a variety of sumptuous cuisines as head chefs from many of Leopold Square’s restaurants take to a specially installed outdoor kitchen to demonstrate how to recreate their favourite recipes before allowing visitors to sample their masterpieces.

Taking visitors around the world on a journey of flavour, the demonstrations will be kicked off at 11am by Head Chef Kevin Reeder from Wagamama. Kevin will be creating one of his favourite Japanese dishes - Wok Fried Greens – taking his audience through step by step instructions on how to recreate the dish at home.

At 12pm The Botanist's Head Chef, Adrian Munt, will take to the kitchen to create two dishes from The Botanist's exciting new European influenced menu, starting with pork chop and a pineapple salsa before finishing with a scrumptious banana split.

The kitchen demonstrations will continue at 12:45pm with Nicolino Dente, Head Chef of Cubana, The Square’s resident authentic tapas bar. Nicolino will then treat the audience to a taste of Spain as he talks them through the process of how he makes his favourite traditional paella.

At 1:30pm Tim Osbourne, Head Chef from The Square’s four star hotel, Leopold Hotel, will create his famous macaroons explaining the cooking method before treating the audience to samples of his mouth-wateringly good creations.

Nicolino Dente from Cubana will then make his second appearance of the day at 2:15pm when he creates a variety of mocktails for visitors to sample.

To round up Leopold Square's Food Festival, Head Chef Kevin Reeder from Wagamama will create his second dish of the day, Raisukaree and Firecracker, at 3pm.
