Scarecrow Festival
October 5-7, 2018
The Scarecrow Festival kicks off 4pm, Friday, October 5, 2018, the main event of Stevensville, Montana’s First Friday in October. Along with the business’s events, there will be children’s activities, living statues, a pumpkin carving contest, a straw maze, bouncy houses and, of course, the scarecrows to inspect and enjoy¬. Then everyone votes for favorites!
Businesses, organizations and families create scarecrow displays that range from humorous and clever to scary and gruesome. Scarecrows are displayed Downtown and along the walking path toward the river. Children’s and adults’ crafts and activities run simultaneously with the scarecrow event.
Spectators cast votes for favorites Friday evening, 4 to 9pm, Saturday, 9am until 4pm, and Sunday, 10am-2pm. Winning scarecrows will be announced at noon, Monday, October 8, and cash prizes will be awarded to contestants.
Scarecrows remain on display through October 14.
