About Festivals, Craft Shows and Fairs in Colorado

Perhaps the best known of all the Rocky Mountain states, Colorado has famously attracted eager visitors for many years. But it’s a place of more than hiking, saloons and mountain towns – it’s also a top location for festivals, with a great number of interesting and exciting events every year to keep gatherers and groupies gagging for more. There are festivals of music, films, food and loads of odd and unique attractions.

The award-winning Colorado Brewers’ Festival is a great excuse to slurp a golden glass of the state’s very best in beers. Every year, the event offers around 100 ales from over 40 breweries, with lots of chats, masterclasses and demonstrations. And while you’re sipping on Colorado’s best booze, you can also treat yourself to some tasty snacks and great live music.

With over 40 years of heritage, Telluride Bluegrass Festival is another great place to tap your toes and dance your cares away! In the heart of the majestic San Juan mountains, legendary performers offer the best in soul, Americana and bluegrass for a chilled-out and tuneful few days. Previous artists include iconic stars such as Ry Cooder, Robert Plant, Counting Crows and Barenaked Ladies.

Denver’s Cinco De Mayo festival is the largest of its kind in the whole of the US. Every year, over 400,000 attendees gather together to celebrate the bravery and history of Mexican and Latino people. It’s a convivial carnival of freedom, culture and identity, and is a great way to have a couple of days of carefree fun. Guests are treated to mariachi bands, food challenges, fashion shows, chihuahua racing, food vendors, arts sellers and a huge parade full of spectacular Mexican entertainment. Grab a taco and indulge in the best of Mexico!

Cherry Creek Arts Festival is a popular and varied event of all things arty and crafty. This non-profit festival promotes the importance of arts experiences, arts inclusion and arts education, and features attractions and entertainment for all the family. There are exhibitions, galleries, challenges and auctions – and loads of opportunities in the Artivity Alley for attendees to get their hands (and aprons!) dirty, with easy to make and do crafts and creations. Other attractions include music performances and plenty of food and drink to keep attendees bustling with energy.
